Understanding the causes of common skin conditions will allow you to better protect and manage your skin.
Knowing how to deal with skin irritations is important. Care can be as simple as using sunscreen or creams, to more complex methods like professional microdermabrasion machines. Knowing what is causing the irritation, and how to relieve the pain and frustration will make a big difference.
Freckels
Our skin has a built-in mechanism to protect against the sun. The skin’s pigment increases when it is exposed directly to sunlight. This helps to protect the inner skin layer.
Due to prolonged exposure to sunlight, the skin will tend to turn a tan. The pigmentation of fair skins is caused by an accumulation in the lower layers which is gradually destroyed as it is transferred up to the upper layers. As a result of continued exposure to sunlight, fair skin develops freckles. These are pigment accumulations in areas with little or no pigment.
Freckles are small black spots that cover the entire face. These freckles tend to be more prominent on certain areas, such as the nose, cheekbones and forehead.
Avoid excessive exposure to the sun.
(B) When you are out in the sunlight, use a SPF 15 or greater.
Consult Dermatologist
They do not require treatment, but some women may find them unsightly and choose to lighten them by bleaching. Others might opt to remove them by freezing (cryotherapy), or by using laser therapy.
They may also be the early stages of malignant melanoma, which is the most severe form of cancerous skin.
WhiteHeads
They are caused by an accumulation of sebum or oil that has hardened in the pores of your skin. These tend to be small, pearly white spots. This occurs when a plug sebum obstructs a follicle deeper in the skin.
Whiteheads can be prevented by regular deep cleansing of the pores. A mixture of skin tonic and beauty grains, rubbed into the affected area will help prevent their formation.
B) Never forcefully remove them. The skin tissue will be damaged and infected if the extraction is done by force.
Consult your doctor. He or she may prescribe a cream or gel that is medicated and effective in preventing whiteheads.
(D) Include fruits and vegetables as part of your daily diet.
(E) Drink lots of water and fruit juices. Drinking warm water mixed with lemon juice helps cleanse the body and eliminate waste.
Blackheads
Blackheads are caused when dead skin and sebum clog a hair follicle at the surface of your skin. A blackhead is dark because of the mixture of dead skin cells, sebum and pigment (the skin’s color-giving protein). It cannot be removed with soap.
Oily skin attracts dirt and grime from the surrounding environment. These pollutants are also collected in the pores with the hardened oils. The pores are enlarged by blackheads, and women with oily complexions end up with skin that is coarse and rough.
Acne is caused by them. If a pore becomes fully blocked, oil glands may become infected and cause acne.
(A) Wash your face with a medicated wash and lukewarm lukewarm to reduce oiliness on the skin’s surface. This will eliminate the chances of infection.
B) Rinsing your skin as often as you can with plain water will help keep it free from environmental pollutants.
To remove hardened sebum, and to keep pores clean, a more thorough cleaning must be performed after washing.
Avoid using oil-based moisturisers, especially in the area of blemishes.
To avoid infection and scarring, blackheads must only be treated by a physician. The doctor will use instruments that won’t harm your skin to squeeze out the plugs of dead skin and sebum from the blocked hair-follicle.
Large Pores
Common Skin ProblemSebaceous glands overactivity usually leads to skin with large pores. The excessive oil production by the glands can cause the pores to become clogged. Pores are stretched in order to accommodate hardened sebum, and their natural resilience is lost. This excessive oil secretion can thicken pores and damage the porcelain-like quality of the skin.
CARE
(A) Use an oil-reducing cleanser. A specialized cleanser that deep cleans the pores is also helpful.
(B) Toning the skin daily is important. It removes any greasy residue, closes pores and refines it. Skin tonics usually contain infusions made from herbs, flowers and vinegar. They also include rose-water, witch-hazel, and rose-water.
Skin tonics with rose bases are excellent. Store some in a small bowl in the fridge. After cleansing, soak cotton wool pads in the solution and use them to pat your skin.
Warts
Warts can be small, firm lumps of flesh-colored skin that appear anywhere on your body. However, they are most commonly found on the hands and the feet.
A virus infects skin cells and causes them to grow quickly. You should not touch warts that are on another person’s skin, as they can be contagious.
Avoid letting your warts touch someone else’s face.
You may see warts disappear on their own in about two years, or with a simple over-the-counter treatment.
Consult your doctor about removing or dissolving warts. If strong medication fails to dissolve the wart, your doctor may remove it using laser surgery (treatment that uses high-energy light beams to destroy tissue) or by freezing, burning, or cutting it.
Skin Tags
Skin tags are small protruding flaps that can appear anywhere on the body, including the armpits, neck, trunk, or folds such as under the breast.
They are usually small, and can be the same colour as your skin. However, they may also appear darker like moles. These skin tags are very common, and they usually appear around the age of twenty. They are not harmful, but can be irritated when touched.
Consult your physician if you are unsure whether to burn or remove skin tags. After either treatment, people rarely get a scar.
Dark Under-Eye Circle
Common Skin ProblemsThese problems are usually caused by fatigue, stress or a lack of sleep. A good night’s sleep is essential for bright, shiny eyes. Sleeping eight hours is essential. To avoid extra strain on your eyes, read only in bright light. Also make sure you are able to see clearly before doing any work such as sewing or writing.
The skin surrounding the eyes is extremely delicate. You can get help from a medical professional to adopt a daily routine. Cleanse the area around your eyes with moistened cotton wool before going out. Whatever product you choose, it must have a very light texture.

Cellulite is the bumpy, puckered, and dimpled irregularities in fat accumulation that occur over women’s buttocks. hips and legs. Cellulite is often found in these areas, which are the first to accumulate fat and last to shed it.
